It is cold, cold, COLD in Ohio this week! So cold, in fact, that we got a "snow day" off from school yesterday even though there wasn't any snow!
This was absolutely perfect timing so that I was able to take the trip to the Secretary of State's office to get my documents authenticated without having to take time off of work. Yay! :) But... it was still a very cold day to be walking around in downtown Columbus. Kind of reminds me of the infamous winter of 1977. My dad took many long bone-chilling walks through a cold hospital parking lot that year to visit my mom in the hospital (wind chills were at 20 below)... his own personal answer to the big "Do you REALLY love me?" question.
As of today, the papers are on their way to Chicago for final authentication before I mail them to Guatemala. So, as soon as that's done, this particular stage of the roller coaster ride is over and we're back to the waiting part again.

Hi Sandi!
It's Nicole (another guatmom in Liberty Twp.) I too teach for Lakota. I keep up with your blog and all the craziness you are going through. Keep the faith, know that people are praying for you and Debora, and know that she WILL get home one way or another. I know it's hard but it will happen. Take care and keep your chin up!
