Today at lunch, I dashed home from a training session at work to call PGN, but I was told two different things by two different people. One person said, "It's signed and ready for pickup at the window." The other said, "We just need a few more copies first, then it will be ready."
At one point, I asked for the English-speaking person to see if I could get clarification, but I got disconnected about 10 times in the midst of calling back and trying to get transferred to her. I also think people were hanging up on me or just trying to transfer without even telling me they were going to transfer, or without checking first to see if she was in or not.
Then I tried calling back again this afternoon when I got home from work, and it seems that the phone system at PGN is down. Not even a dial tone.
Meanwhile, I called David this morning to have him alert the lawyer, just in case it really is ready. At least one person told me that it is, so I'm hoping that he will just drive down there to find out. So far I haven't heard back from David yet.
I just want to know for sure that the paperwork has been signed by the head of PGN and that she is truly my legal daughter now. I can't allow myself to celebrate until I know for sure.

Okay - it's about an hour after I posted the update above, and I have more info... David called the lawyer, and he did go over to PGN in person today to see if it's ready. Nope -- they still need to do more copies. He's going to go back and try again tomorrow... this has been the longest "tomorrow" of my LIFE!!!!

Thanks, Yesenia! I needed those hugs!!! :) David just sent a message that the lawyer went down to PGN to pick it up today, but they do still need more copies first. So he plans to go back and try again tomorrow. So maybe... just maybe... tomorrow will be my BIG NEWS DAY! :)
